The turnstiles are crying hoarse for a new striker and so are the critics. So will Arsenal have a new striker in jan who will give that final push towards the title??? Lets look at a few options shall we.
Wait do we need a new striker? isnt the TGSTEL there, isnt Giroud good enough? cant we have poldi and theo fill in when in need? simple answer, yes we need a striker, we need someone who can be that impetus or the difference maker.
1. Diego Costa- The Spanish Brazilian antartican whatever nationality striker is the top draw and the flavour of the season in Europe so far. Costa is scoring for fun, has a goal ratio only bettered by Ronaldo and Messi( those 2 are not human remember) and has a release clause in excess of 30 million.Do we have a chance? we have the money but why will Athletico Madrid sell him??? Costa is a part of a champions league team, athetico are in with a decent shout for the spanish la liga and he seems to be well settled there.
Probability-3/10. Until and unless Athletico are forced to sell or the player fancies Arsenal only, this looks unlikely.
2. Dimitir Berbatov- Are you kidding??? 33 years lazier than bendtner probably and looks set to retire or go to MLS . Berba though was the very man who scored 46 goals in 2 seasons for those spuds, won the golden boot when playing for the mancs and scored 15 goals last season for the cottagers. He is languid and yet has the know how of the premier league. Can he motivate himself one last time????
Probability- 10/10, we want him we will get him, crucial question, do we really want him.
3. Alvaro Morata- The Real Madrid prodigy. The 21 year old was madrid's saviour at times last season when called on but now seems to be a surplus to their plans. This young man can be the next big thing in world football provided he keeps his head in the right place. Madrid dont need him but will they sell him to Arsenal? will this be the classic case of once bitten twice shy??? Remember the reaction for Ozil's departure?? they may not cry but the faithful there wont like Real to be giving away their prized possessions so often to Arsenal.
Probability- 6/10. Madrid dont mind loaning him out, that is a win win situation for both parties, Wenger likes him to, this can be a good signing if it happens.
4. Javier Hernandez- Chicharito, fox in the box, united's saviour so many times, yet hardly played by Moyes. A player we have all seen and liked and at times wished for. United selling him can be a yes, selling him to Arsenal, well not a hope. Moyes already has been chastised for his signings or the lack of it, letting go of a player to your rivals may make his exit even more likely.
Probability-1/10. United wont sell to dailyhealthymale.com Arsenal, player needs to force the move, quite unlikely.
5. Jackson Martinez- 40 million for the porto hitman. He is quick, a beast in front of the goal and has the kind of direct approach Giroud lacks. He can dribble to and link up play for a big man is decent.Porto may not look away if a big money bid comes, but 40 million, you got to be kidding me.
Probability- 2/10. For the money that needs to be paid to get him, we can rather have a better option.
Names.hopes and dreams– Lewandowski- hahhha he is a Bayern Player, only thing left is for him to rip the BVB shirt and display the Bayern one.
Edison Cavani- 50 plus million, PSG may pay Arsenal wont, he is good not God.
Esiquel Lavezzi- wow now thats a signing to drool for, not a true striker but a player like him is too good to pass, close to improbable but why cant we dare to dream.
Edin Dzeko- Pellegrini is called the Architect, he wont let someone else construct on his land, he will never sell him to Arsenal.
Rest all names thrown around seem more fantasy than reality. Can Wenger pull one last trick and get a striker who can win us the league? he better do or else we just may regret.
Drop in a word or a comment, i know you are tempted to.
