Relegation is the most painful thing in a season, sadly 3 of the teams will face it, who?????
Current standings has Fulham, Westham and Sunderland occupy the bottom 3 positions though Cardiff are just above the Cottagers on goal difference.
Fulham- Martin Jol off; Rene Muelsteen on, what has changed at the cottage?? nothing so far, its been a free fall for Fulham. The team is completely jaded and seems clueless on how to rescue the season. Until and unless things are refreshed in jan and if they can hold on to prized assets like Berbatov(unlikely), craven cottage may see league 1 games next season.
West Ham- The Hammers have had moments in the season where they have looked safe and sound. They have a fairly decent side and should they gather their sense and play to their strengths, they can still scrape through. The problem with Sam and his men are they are not sure on how to go about doing this. Sam's way of long balls and defend deep may have worked before but the current team doesnt have the personnel to suit that style of play.Pass pass pass doesnt suit Sam and hence they are caught in the crossroads. Sam does have the magic wand and has done it so often previously that it just maybe repeated yet again. They just might stay put, just
Sunderland- Di Canio done, Gus Poyet on. The new manager may have had some notable results but they are in deep muddle. Sunderland need to get points and make the stadium of light pretty dark for other teams. more here Looks a tall order but with other teams also struggling, Gus Poyet may just do the houdini act.
Cardiff City- Makay gone,who will come? god knows or should i say Tan knows. The owner doesnt seem to realize that this is football and not a buisness. The sooner he realizes the better it is or else the blue birds may be singing a sorrow tune.
19 games to go, 57 points to play, 40 is usually considered safe to stay up but it could be a lot lesser this time, no of points doesnt matter, survival does.
