As if waking up to a Monday morning wasn’t bad enough, showing up at work on the back of a match like that is all the more frustrating. Deja Vu? It has happened so many times that we should be used to it by now, but then we are Arsenal fans. We seem to be optimistic at even the little glimmer of hope that our team may provide us. It’s been 3 years, 6 games in the League since we put one past them and still we hope? And why not? There is no need to be upset. At least as far as the league title is concerned.
Let’s have a look at the other teams going for title, their next 3 fixtures and the more possible outcomes:

Match day 24:

Leicester City (H) vs Liverpool- Draw.
Manchester City vs Sunderland (H)- City win.
Arsenal (H) vs Southampton- Arsenal win.

League Position-
1. Leicester City 48 pts.
2. Manchester City 47 pts.
3. Arsenal 47 pts.

Match day 25:

Manchester City(H) vs Leicester City- Draw.
Arsenal vs Bournemouth(H)- Arsenal win.

League Position-
1. Arsenal 50 pts.
2. Leicester City 49 pts.
3. Manchester City 48 pts.

Match day 26:

Manchester City(H) vs Tottenham- Draw.
Arsenal(H) vs Leicester City- Arsenal Win.

League Position-
1. Arsenal 53 pts.
2. Manchester City 49 pts.
3. Leicester City 49 pts.

February 14th and maybe we can all feel the cupid on us by then.
I know the results are only predicted as of yet but they are the more likely outcomes of them all. Our rivals won’t have it easy, specially with the top 2 going head to head. The Leicester game at home is a six pointer for us with me refusing to even count the other North London club into the foray just yet.
And I will not go in to a review of what happened last night because well, that would only be more depressing right now.
Yes, the league is unpredictable and the results above may turn differently of course yet we have to hope, we have to believe in our chances, else what’s the point of being a fan?
And Arsenal being Arsenal, you can never be sure how we will turn up next but then isn’t that exactly why we love this club so much?
With almost the full team back in a week or so, we can just be so much more.
Keep the faith. We all know deep down. The Arsenal are coming.
